Pregnancy #101 : Am I Pregnant? How do I Calculated Weeks of Pregnancy?

Aha.....mayb this is 1st entry of pregnancy. Tak penah-penah nak buat entry pasal pregnancy, dah 6 bulan baru nak buat. Apa salahnya kalau nak share kan?

Well, basic of pregnancy of course we should know that it's a real pregnancy. The real question, Am I Pregnant? or Am I REALLY Pregnant?

Question for How Am I Gonna Get Pregnant or How Can I Get Pregnant are not relevant anymore because I assume that everyone alert on this : NO SEX - NO PREGNANCY ; or YES SEX - YES PREGNANCY. Though you'd use condom, but there's chance of pregnancy happen.

Some study's show less, most of them indicate about 14%, your milage may vary.

Back to the 1st question, here you can check whether you're pregnant or not.

1st - You should know when the period coming. Late period doesn't mean that you're 100% pregnant but for those who are constantly having period on normal circulation, the chances is there. ada orang 2-3 bulan tak datang period, tapi tak jugak mengandung. But if you're 4-5 month or more not having your period, please consult with doctor.

2nd - Buy the pregnancy test kit. Selling at pharmacy and easy to get. *Dulu I malu jugak nak beli. Confius yang mana bagus sebab ada la ikut brand dia kan. Siap tanya akak farmasi yang mana bagus. Akak tu pon blur je nak jawab Beza harga mahal murah je* But trust me, everything is same. I used to test using Guardian brand and it's correct!

Ok. When you purchase the kit, akan dapat the test meter (benda alah atas) and tube. First when bought of course, you have to read the instructions. Being me, I am sort of, is it true you have to do this, do that and happen to geli dengan air kencing sendiri. Padahal bukan tak pernah buat urine test pon.

Bagi yang 1st time nak pregnant tu, meh la kita share camner nak buat. As per instruction korang kena titiskan urine / air kencing korang kat atas benda bulat tu.

1- Cari bekas kecik or silinder yang agak-agak dah tak pakai. Kalau gi klinik, ala2 bekas yang dia bagi untuk korang letak air kencing. Then apa lg, "pee pee" la dalam bekas tu. The reason pakai bekas? Senang you guys nak insert the urine dalam tube. Picit skali tube tu tros dapat urine. Jangan tak tau, ada orang ingat tros "pee pee" atas benda bulat tu!! no no..nanti error result plak. I pon masa 1st time bli, lg best, I tadah tube time nak buang air.......ahah! tak ke "bersepah" and agak menggelikan???? Jadi, sila la buat dengan sopan ye!


2 - After dah buang air segala, picit sket tube tu agak2 penuh la ngan urine.


3 - Then titiskan agak 4-5 titisan kat atas ruang bulat yang anak arrow tu.


4 - Then wait for 1-2 minutes for the result to appear.


5 - And wallahhh!!!! If you're pregnant, there're 2 lines visible (like above). If not or error, then only one line appear.

P/S : Please remind to read the instructions on test kit before you try. Some test kit might have a different ways especially the expensive one. One test kit only for one time test. Bukan satu kit korang pkai 2-3 kali yer...memang la nan ado. Tak yah simpan. Pakai buang! Sebab tu beli yang murah saje, RM6 tak silap.

Ok. Enough for test of pregnancy. Then now, how many weeks of pregnancy I had?

1 - Mark your period! The 1sy day, the last day, sume kena mark. This is important. Dulu I pon macam malas-malas nak amik tau apa lagi mark calendar but when you get pregnant, this is the time you know why you've to mark.

Iphone user, there's app you can download. Senang kan? Apa guna bli phone mahal tapi tak gunakan kelebihan yang ada...hah! Free lagi!!! 

Period Tracker Application - They remind you when your period coming. Tu I punya dah lama lambat...sebab I memang pregnant. 

Bagi yang takda Iphone, tulislah dalam phone ke diary ke or kalendar kuda sekalipon!

Nak tahu dah berapa minggu pregnant???? Like me...I have.............

I got this : Mirena Intrauterine Levonorgestrel Delivery System *apa ke payah nak nyebutnya* Friend of husband yang blaja medic bagi. Most gyne or OB kalau jumpa dia akan kira pakai ni...I tak sure Malaysia, but rasanya sama jer kot.

I tak sure ada jual kat pharmacy ke tak but this thing very useful especially bila time nak weekly / monthly pregnancy check up.

The 1st week of pregnancy count from the 1st day of last period.

So like me, my first day of last period 28th of April (if u refer to my Iphone Period Tracker, my next period should be 28th of May - circulation of normal period between 28-30 days). And by that you'll know how old your pregnancy until the date you check.

And here my estimated date of delivery. basically, woman will have 40 weeks of pregnancy. Depends on baby and mummy condition. Ada orang by week 38 dah bersalin. Like me, masa scan baby, the doctor said I might deliver the baby on 31st of January. Awal sket dari yang dijangka but tak lari jauh la.

This chart also useful untuk siapa yang nak start makan Folic Acid. As per doc advice, the good time to eat Folic Acid during pregnancy is between 8- 14 weeks.

Folic Acid - use to optimises Folic Acid and Iodine levels in body. Iodine for baby's brain sight and eyesight. Folic Acid reduces the risk of spina bifida (kecacatan).

Itulah yang sempat I kongsikan untuk siapa yang pregnant and mahu pregnant.
