Wedding Tips : Make Up

Salah satu perkara penting yang kita takkan terlepas semasa perkahwinan adalah solekan / make up. Bagi I, pemilihan make up artist (MUA) bergantung kepada citarasa bakal pengantin tu sendiri kerana setiap MUA ada cara dan corak@pattern atau "signature" mereka sendiri dalam "mencorak" wajah pengantin.

During wedding sebelah I kat Johor hari tu, I amik MUA from AZ Saloon JB. Agak lama jugak I survey nak amik siapa kat Johor sebab kalau nak hired MUA dari KL cost memang la ribu-ribuan. ye la..nak kne support minyak, tol pastu penginapan skali. 

Mak Andam kat kampung? Bukan tak nak pakai, tapi cara solekan kurang mengikut citarasa I. Kalau bole, I nak bila dah make up tu, wajah tak banyak berubah. I want a natural make up! Kadang-kadang bukan apa, ada I tengok muka pengantin before make up ngan after make up....mak aiiii......lain sangat. Jangan nanti bila anak tengok album kahwin kita sampai dia tanya "Ni ibu ke? kenapa lain sangat?" Tak nak la kan......... Tapi ada la I kena bebel ngan mak jugak sebab tak amik mak andam kampung, I mean like a real "mak andam" sebab dia kata mak andam kampung ni pandai baca-baca naikkan seri muka. Ye ke? Me?? Tadah telinga jer la.......

*Jangan tak tau, ni aku menaip dengan si Faatih baring kat riba. Budak kecik ni takmo berenggang langsung. Dok letak dalam  rocking chair pon dia dah merengek* 

So bila I pergi AZ Saloon and kenal ngan Farrell (MUA) rupanya dia adik colleague I kat branch JB. One thing I tengok bila nak pilih MUA ni ialah barang make up yang diaorg pakai. Remember, kita as pengantin ada hak nak tanya what brand and type of make up they're using. Ye la...kita yang bayar kan. Tak kira la brand apa..Maybelline ke...Loreal ke hatta Bobbi Brown atau MAC sekalipon.

Bukan apa, ada wedding I tengok kadang tukang make up ni pakai barang make up fake. Contoh macam MAC fake la kebanyakannya. Better la ko pkai Silkygirl ke Maybelline kan. Tak baik macam tu sebab kita tak tau apa bahan-bahan dalam make up fake ni. Diaorg not clinically tested. Even local brand ada lab sendiri tau untuk test the effect of make up kat muka kita.

*iklan kejap.. Faatih rasa diri di abandon kat riba sebab mak dia bz menaip. Ni aku menaip pkai sebelah tangan jer. Gigih u'ols!!*

Untuk KL reception, I amik Tiar Zainal. At first plan nak amik Ezral Nordin. I hantar sms and email dia tak reply. Agak frust la sebab dah mengidam nak amik Ezral masa pasang angan-angan nak kahwin dulu. Pastu bila no respond from Ezral, I sms Sue Cantik coz I rasa dia antara MUA yang make up natural je. Frust lagi skali sebab Sue Cantik dah full booked during the date *Orang kata Sue Cantik kalau nak book a year before wedding...gossshhh* 

Lepas tu aku dah buntu tak tau nak hired siapa. Takkan Nurul Shukor kot...gila ko beriban nak kena bayar. I mula la survey baca blog brides sana sinun. Sekali ada satu bride ni dia kahwin Tiar Zainal make up. 

Bila I tengok, natural....not bad. I email that bride tanya. The bride pon bagi good feedback since dia pon kulit tan macam mak jugak. Terus I email Tiar, cepat jer dia reply. Sib baik dia free, terus book.

TZ ni bagus. Peramah and you bole ajak berbual ngan mengumpat pasal artis-artis. Rates dia pon lebih kurang Sue Cantik. Dia pun punctual, malah terebih punctual sebab dia sampai kat dewan lagi awal dari I sampai. Siap pergi breakfast dulu sebab pengantin lambat.

Ni ada sedikit tips untuk bakal pengantin regarding on make up / MUA :

1. Make sure kalau nak pergi facial, 2-3 minggu sebelum wedding. Jangan jadi macam I, esok nak kawin baru terhegeh-hegeh nak pergi facial. Akibatnya? Korang nampak tak bintik-bintik halus kat dahi tu? Tu bekas jerawat dipicit masa facial! *harus la u'ols nampak sebab pixel gambar mak besar kan?*

2. Kalau bole masa approach MUA tu, tanya dia pakai barang apa and cakap tema baju pengantin so MUA bole imagine make up theme apa and color yang bersesuaian ngan kulit korang. Usually, siapa yang bertudung, MUA akan tanya tudung jenis apa korang akan pakai.

3. Remember, make sure deal betul-betul sebab selalunya MUA akan mintak deposit. Cancel make up, deposit u'ols lebuuurrrrr...........

4. Lagi satu tips untuk bagi make up stay lama, sebelum make up, tuam muka u'ols ngan ais. Letak beberapa ketul ais kat towel, then tuam sket-sket tapi jangan la sampai muka u'ols kebas and merah-merah plak. ye la, kot lepas tu nak buat outdoor photoshoot kan? Dek kerana Malaysia ni panas, takda la mek up u'ols tu pudar di tengah jalan....hehhhe

5. Ingat, majlis nikah selalunya memerlukan make up yang lebih natural kerana majlis nikah majlis yang involve dengan keagamaan dan sangat intimate ngan ahli keluarga. Takkan make up nikah macam make nak gi ABPBH kan? Begitu juga during reception. Jay Manuel sendiri cakap, "wedding make up tak perlu mengubah wajah seseorang sehingga tidak dikenali di dalam gambar" *translate dari English :P*

Bagaimana Untuk Menge"paw" Suami Secara Berhemah

Whhoaa...seminggu tidak update. Al-maklumlah, orang beranak kecik *alasan sesaje* siang dia berjaga, tunggu malam dia dah lelap baru bole nak update bog. Tu pon kalau dia btol-btol "sleeping beauty" tanpa rengekan kedengan dek kerana jejari ibunya menekan keyboard. :D

Anyway, ini entry saje suka-suka. Kalau entry serius memanjang nak bebel masalah negara nanti ramai kondem blog mak u'ols.

Korang kalau nak mintak duit shopping kat husband macam mana eh???

Tunggu husband bagi? Mintak kat meja makan dengan memasak makanan sedap-sedap *kot la dengar jumlah kita mintak, terus tersembur nasi husband* or mintak kat bilik tidur dengan memberi layanan istimewa *ehem..ehem (18SX)*


Me? I jarang mintak direct...selalu tunggu dia bagi nafkah bulanan je. I ni pemalu orangnya *woho! masuk dalam paperbag pastu angkat sendiri* Tu pon tunggu agak seminggu dua duit dalam bank baru berani nak guna *nak menunjukkan mak takda la gelojoh kan...hehhe* lagipon saya tidak bergaji, jadi tunggulah duit "mengalir ke dalam akaun bank" baru tersipu-sipu cakap "Thank you abang..." walaupon husband akan notify jam tu jugak.

So hari tu I dapat la idea camner nak "request" duit husband secara berhemah untuk shopping since masa tu I kat Malaysia, dia kat Aussie *akibat tak dapat gi Boxing Day, so kira claim la...hehehe*

Perlu diingatkan, ini memain jer tau. Bahasa Melayu tunggang-langgang jadi tak perlu la sesiapa nak memperbetulkan kesalahan tatabahasa I. I pon tulis surat rasmi ni last masa sekolah menengah kot, time agak-agak nak balik kampung, nak kuar outing cepat ke....so apa-apa salah ayat, tak kira k....

Well, sesekali nak buat kelainan apa salahnya kan. Lagipon benda-benda macam ni bagi I, secara tak langsung dapat mengeratkan hubungan husband and wife. Bergurau senda sambil tak sedar husband keluar duit..... :P mana la tau certain husband ada yang complain pressure kat tempat kerja. Dengan ayat dalam surat macam ni, takda la kepala husband kita "keluar tanduk" if kita mintak duit nak shopping. Kan? kan???

Trust me, these thing works. I dapat reply approval tak sampai 2 minit lepas I hantar email siapa dengan details "kad plastik" skali.


P/S : Cara ni agak-agak cuba 2 kali bole la kot......kali ke-3 if tak approve sendiri tanggung. Weeeeeee........

It's a Stocktake Sale!

Well, like Malaysia'n's Mid Year Sale, kat sini bila June je mesti ada Stocktake Sale. Segala macam Stoctake Sale la. They close their account and new stock coming in. Yang best tu, bukan barang-barang macam pakaian, handbag je sale, semua la. Tilam, perabot, katil, tayar, barang letrik.....semua ok! Kereta pon sale ok! Even baru...!! Ada korang nampak AUDI, MITSUBISHI, HONDA buat sale kereta kat Malaysia?? Perodua or Proton pon tak pernah nak bagi diskaun 2000-3000..! Mata I dah mcam hari-hari tengok iklan SALE kat TV. Bukak TV jer iklan SALE itu ini kan..benci tau! I tak keje, so tak berduit sangat nak bershopping sakan.

So hari tu I dapat la interview untuk kerja kan. Bagi I yang berstatus visitor ni memang la diHARAMkan bekerja kat sini. Yer la..ala-ala pelancong datang tetiba nak bekerja kan? Tak ke aku kene tangkat ngan Imigresen kan ke susah nanti...hahah But I'll apply for my Visa soon so I bole la bekerja menambahkan isi tabung rumah..hikss (alasan lain untuk bershopping ;p)

Oleh kerana I interview untuk kerja office, terpaksa la I pergi mencari heels sebab "kasut formal" semua I tinggal kat Malaysia. Ada barang-barang and baju ofis yg agak lusuh, I sedekah kat bangla and makcik cleaner kat umah I. Dari buang, baiklah sedekah kan...So kasuit I bawak 3 pasang je. My casual Adidas, Crocs ngan heels untuk raya *I punyer luggage exceed sampi 12 kg ok!* Tu pon I amik 30kg. Eh..eh..I nak citer pasal Sale kan..hahha maka I pergi la ke DFO Spencer St and jalan-jalan along Swaston St kat City tu. DFO sebab ada Aldo ngan 9West so I budget murah la kan. Tapi mahal jugak...dah terpaksa, I beli jer....

Supre tu memang sale gilos. Baju ngan legging dia tinggal AUD 10. Sama ngan Cotton On. Bila I pegi Cotton On, legging dia AUD 7.50 je..tension2! Yg Rubi (brand kasut under Cotton On) tu I beli boots ala2 UGG boots. UGG boots mahal gilos AUD 180++, I beli Rubi AUD 24.90 je. Tapi last2 I jumpe UGG boots jual kat DFO 50% off..menyesal mek! 9West tu..haaa..mesti "kasut kerja konon" I. Kata nak berinterview kan. Memula I try pakai kat kedai, ok, macam sedap dan selesa. I budget nak beli Aldo sebab I dah biasa pakai kasut kerja Aldo kat Malaysia tapi Aldo kat DFO sume tinggal last last pair. Brand Oz lain sume tak diyakini "halal" sebab diperbuat dari PSL (Pig Skin Lining). Kalau tak Pig Skin pon lagi mahal dari 2 brand ni (Aldo ngan 9West)

Si I beli jugak 9West ni...bila I berjalan nak pergi interview, mak haih.....sakit kaki mek! Yela, nak pergi office yang interview tu kene naik bus, pastu naik train then tukar tram. Ye la..laki I kan keje so pegi je sendiri, Bila sampai office tu, dapat duduk..fuhhhh legaa....mayb sebab I dah lama tak pkai heels. ke heels I tu 4 1/2 inches tanpa platform? Sebab mata I nampak 3 1/2 inches..hahha malam masa I gaya2 depan hubby I, dia dah cakap "Bole ke jalan pkai heels tu...tak sakit kaki ke?" I dengan selamba, "Ala...ok la ni...tak sakit pon". Eh sombong la sangat. Lepas tu hambik ko! Yang paling best, pompuan mat salleh yang interview I siap cakap "Nice heels you got there, where at?" hahaha..ni kalau I dapat kerja mesti sebab kasut bertuah I. :D Padahal dalam hati, I je yang tau! last-last before balik umah, I singgah DFO Spencer St, beli flip flop!! Hambik ko...org lain pkai boots segala time winter, aku pkai flip flop kat train station.

Nak tau rupa heels yg buat I merana setengah hari tu??? Nahhhh....

Haaaa..story paling best, semalam I pegi Chadstone (shopping Centre ala KLCC) kasut ni turun harga lagi 20% off. Eh...macam bangang! hubby I balik umah, I mengadu tak puas hati!!!! Hubby gelak-gelak je.......
Kalau i btol dapat kerja kat tempat I interview, I nak mintak hubby blikan heels lain...yang 2 1/2 inches je...En hubby, bole kan?? kan?? ke beli sekarang sebab tengah sale?? Bersedialah I mendengar bebelan bila hubby balik dari office nanti....geeeeezzzzzzz!!!

Overhauled

Inilah barang yang I beli masa L'oreal Warehouse sale hari tu...(1 week lepas) sorry tak sempat nak update sbb busy sesgt (alasan....eh tp mmg busy sesgt). Btw, sy hanya personal shopper utk siapa yg kirim (ayat denial diri sdri tak mau dituduh shopaholic) ;p For those who trusted me to be their personal shopper, thanks a lot ya!! I've been to this sale 3 times since last year. So far, tak pernah menghampakan sbb murah giler. Perfume sumer 50-70%. Walaupon nampak mcm cheapskate...but I took the joyful meeting people, berebut-rebut ngn perempuan lain, siap tolak-tolak y'all nak dpt brg kegemaran punya pasal as an priceless experience. Ada org kata pergi warehouse sale bdk-bdk cheapskate jer pergi...sbb kejar barang murahan tp apa salahnyer kalau ko bole jimat 50% dr normal price?

Like mcm korang bli brg dr trust web blog la..yg import segala dr UK or US tu....and for me, that's not call cheapskate tp "BRILLIANT" sbb korang bole jimat. Baru la namanya PEMBELI BERHEMAH!

Tapi harus diingat, important tips kalau ke warehouse sale, korang kene tgk btol-btol MFG date sbb ada yg smpi 3 years ago. Yer la..kalau dh nama bersesak-sesak tu, main amik jer kan tanpa korang alert...skali tgk brg dh expired. Itu taktik warehouse sale nih...diaorg nk stock out brg baru so brg expired pon diaorg jual jer. Perfume can be last up to 5 years, skincare and make up last about 3 years. So pls BEWARE this.

This is 1st time L'oreal Sale ada GA make up bcoz b4 this mmg tak da. And I bought sbb heard testimonial org ckp make dia silky and long lasting. Yer...sgt btol. Sudah try. Kalau pkai g ofis dr pagi smpi tgh hari nk tgu sembahyang Zohor, make korang stay still jer, if muka berminyak, just need touch up ngan compact powder. Better dr Chanel (as per designer make up comparison). But still, sy lebih comfortable ngan MAC. So far, MAC the best! (as for me la...lain org, lain rasanya).

Toddles guys, 5 hari tgl ofis, email mencanak-canak masuk. 11MB email mak full house sudah!

Shopaholic Confession #1

I seldomly confessed my obsession into shopping. The difference between me and Becky Bloomwood is she had 12 credit cards while errrr....I got less than that. ;p But what you need to know, you must pay it on time or you'll be charged with the finance charges.

I had my first job as Personal Financial Advisor at CIMB Bank. Advised people on how to manage their money, save their money and invest for future but when I look back how bad I am in term of managing my money, I knew that I don't deserve that job at all.

That's why I quitted. And now I need someone; a PFA for me. I guess. Haha

Naahh....forget about the "money management" thingy.

Hey...you guys heard the Malaysia Mega Sale rang their bell on 4th July? And they're up to 31st August. Kalau dapat gaji tu sempat la dua kali shopping....

Well, I had my picks for this month. It's SALE darling and you cannot resist! Trust me when you see the 50%-70% or 80% sign.



1. FCUK Fur Cardigan. (Its 80%, so I bought 2.)
2. MNG Chiffon Sleveless Top (Bought in Genting Factory Outlet. Steal!)
3. MAC Gel Eyeliner + Brush (Need something waterproof for eyes. Trust me, this would take a year to finish. Jimat kan??)

5. Bio-Essence 24k Gold Anti-Dark Circle (I had a serious dark circle and I have no idea which I product the best. Any recommendations???)

The FCUK Cardigan made from 50% Rabbit Hair. I did realize it during try out tapi tak da la nak amik peduli sangat. Coz everytime I bought something, I'll read the label/made from. Kadang-kadang baju bapak mahal tapi Made in China je kan. Zach the one who taught me that. Dia suka selak-selak label kalau shopping.

Until I reached home, saw the tag again and there goes... a guilty feeling! Kesian ke kat arnab tu. But I'm sure they kill/slaughter it for meat kan? ala.....korang penah nampak kan burger arnab?? So daging buat burger, bulu diaorg amik buat baju. But its not 100% fur, so I won't be charge by PETA. Heh!

However, my fav pick of the month,

The braided belt from MNG. Since I bought the cardigan first, so I think it suits each other. I love the braided details made from cotton with blue/white/red mixing. And heyyy...its 50%. That's important!

Friend : Betty....ada sale UCB (United Color of Benetton) kat Bangsar Village. You tak nak pegi??
Me : Naaah....I rasa enuff for this month (July). Lagipon I tak minat UCB.
Friend : What?? You mean there's another next month (August)???
Me : We'll see.....sale kan 2 bulan.
Friend : Pompuan....pompuan........(mengeluh panjang).

Dah nama pon perempuan kan? Tapi aku masih tidak boleh kalahkan Julie lagi laaa.....The Shopping Godmother! Hahhahah

YOUTH'09

Me, Julie and Nadia had joined Creative Mafia @ YOUTH'09 on last 9-11th Jan. It's a great event, though not a "great crowd" for us.

But thanks to the Management of Bijou esp. Maryam and Dedek for taking a good care of s during the event. I was inform that all the fault coming from the Secretariate of YOUTH'09 itself.

This is due to some traders..(not some but loads) has been put at top of Mezzanine floor which there're much of crowd not knowning we're exist!! OMG! Korang tgk backgroud gambar aku ngan Julie kat atas je dah tau mcm mana kan.

Mmg jer kurang org kat spot kitaorg.

But 2nd day Dedek asked us to move downstairs. Selamba la kan. We thought to move to Hall 1 which had a bigger crowd. Siap insiden berebut tempat between me, Julie and other traders. Bayangkan la...tu pon sempit tak hengat.

But when we back to our old place, some traders made a move to downstairs beside escalator. Of course, we're moved too! Kat atas mmg jer takda org. I blame YOUTH'09 for that. That time, I saw the CEO of YOUTH, Joel (he the winner of The Firm S1). Masa tu mcm nak komplen tapi dh bz dok angkat meja.

Even some ppl from Bijou pon did help us.

2nd day biz much more ok compare to previous day. OK. The crowd noticed us but the music from battle of the band distracted our surrounding. Mmg kalau nak ckp ngan customer tu kdg2 mcm nak menjerit pon ada kan. Tapi takpe...syukur rezeki ada. :)

Sapa nak beli kasut nih? Saya jual RM 160 for both. Amik 2 sekali gus. Kalau beli satu lain harga...ceeh...sempat promote u'ols!!

I love the Lomo parts. Though I love on how creative people thinking. One of the wall yg menarik perhatian sy during the event. Lepas ni nak bli lomo cam lah!!!

We were starving smpi berhutang ngan Julie amik cupcakes dia. Mcm every hour pon nak!! "Julie, aku amik cupcakes, nanti aku byr eyh....?" heheheh

While Nadia promoting Julie cupcakes, Julie did the same thing on Nadia's Tie Rack collection. See..we were helping each other. ;P The weird thing during the event, everytime one of us not around, ade bende yg terjual. Like I'm not around, my stuff sold. Same goes to Julie and Nadia. Pelik kan?

Shook came to support us. OK. PROMO: Sapa mau berkenalan ngan mamat nih, bole bg no phone kat sy. Masih single dan sedang mencari. Mempunyai ciri-ciri yg dimahukan oleh bakal mak mertua, sopan santun..Haha..kulit dia putih melepak u'ols..! Mcm ayam kene stim....hahahah jgn marah Shook!

This couple are so cute. The gf wanna buy the shoes but she can't make a decision whether to buy or not. So they had bf-gf talk, in front of our booth! At last, she bought la after we heard...

This was what we do after we closed. Br la time tu nak jln2. Tgk2 sekeliling. All vendors kat Hall 2 tutup awal. Since crowd pon dh tak bnyk and Al-maklumlah...hari Ahad. Mostly kerja tomorrow. Us, took a time utk meneruskan niat "bershopping tak sudah".

Inilah antara item yg sempat di shopping kan (Betty's dictionary). Nadia made her name and Azli. RM30 uuuu...!

Kemuncak YOUTh'9 adalah konsert. Masa nih dh dkt kol 8. We all tak stay memandangkan sgt penat and esok nak kerja. Tak silap time nih Love Me Butch tgh perform. Ada Bunkface sumer.

Well...habis sudah cerita YOUTH'09. Thanks to kawan-kawan yg dtg bg support and those customer yg singgah and beli. Thanks sgt2! Kami sayang anda!!!
