Off Pregnancy, Durian and New Year

Where to start?

I can say my new started with mix feeling. Happy, fabulous, sad and nervous!

Oh..oh...I hope it's not late to wish Happy New Year to blog readers. (walaupon dah setengah bulan kan) Even though you guys didn't comment but I can see from the stats...hahah

Well, as y'all might know.....I'm pregnant for the 2nd! Yes, some errr.....unplanned things happened I must say. We didn't expect we make another child in this short time. Ingat nak jarakkan dengan Faatih 3- 4 years. Beside, I'm in midst of dieting and trying to lose my fat and reach my ideal weight. Alamatnye tak berkesampaian la nampaknya. Don't be surprise if you see a hijab mummy penguin around.

That kids, was the result of not using kondom. Geesshh....

It was started when my period late from usual. kalau lambat 3-4 hari tu normal la. So, i wait till day 5th then 6th then 7th. Cukup 1 week tak datang I dah risau. I told husband dia kata "impossible". Guys always guys. I asked my mum dia cakap kalau nak tau pregnant ke tak tunggu sampai 2 minggu. kadang-kadang ada je orang tak datang perios berbulan-bulan tapi tak pregnant kan?

Day 10th I can't wait anymore. Pegi Watsons beli pregnancy test yang home brand Watsons tu. Just nak buat 1st test dulu. I don't know what happen to me that time tapi I macam kalut during the test. I didn't know I pee a lot or little....and the result lambat gila. The instructions said 2-3 mins tapi I think I'm waited too long takde result keluar. So I guess result error. Bazir duit mek RM 13.90. Terus I buang test tu dalm bin..pastu after few mins tergerak hati nak tengok balik. By the time test tu dah mix ngan sisa dalam tong sampah......haaaa....aku korek tong sampah kooo.....tapi result dia memang error.

Then I said to myself, I sould get Clear Blue! As far as I know, Clear Blue has the most accurate result among all test kits.

"You buat pregnancy test ke?" hubby asked when he saw the kits dalam tong sampah. Kantoi dah.

 "So whats the result?" dengan muka excited kan. "Error" I nodded.

"Takpe. Kan selalu tunggu 2 minggu baru accurate test" he said. Amboi senang la cakap kan.

Right after reaching day 15th, I beli Clear Blue and did the test early in the morning.

See, Clear Blue memang tepat lagikan jitu!!! Kalau dia tulis 3+ dalam Clear Blue means kita preggy 5 weeks +. But I'm in 12 weeks now. Syukur.

During this time first thing that accross my mind, I'm getting fat!! Seriously FAT!

I told hubby yang tak bangun tido lagi tu " Faatih bakal dapat adik.."

"Huuh? ok la tu...." tido balik. aiyyyoo....

We accept the news dengan redha uols. Dah nama rezeki kan. Just think that we are among lucky parents. ada orang bertahun-tahun tak dapat anak apatah lagi kita dah dapat takkan nak tolak kan?

We believe this is the right time since bila baby adik keluar, Faatih dah 2 1/2 years. Like me and my sister, we're 2 years apart.

Dah kata orang anak membawa rezeki. Few weeks after, hubby got job offer. A better one. And now, another better job offer coming in. With better salary, benefits and most important maternity covered! Alhamdulillah. Jimat duit we'ols nak bersalin. :)

Right now I'm learning back the pregnancy information. reading here and there but not as regular as previous. Rasa dulu almost everyday baca pasal preganacy. Nasib baik ada simpan lagi buku masa kat Melbourne dulu. Sangat useful and reminds me of foods I eat beside to keep my diet in a well manner.

Ni pon berat badan naik mendadak sampai midwife kata suh control makan. We're in Malaysia babe! Kedai mana ko tak terjah. Warung mana ko tak makan. 

Allergies? Yes, this this pregnancy brought me to a different level. Tak pernah dulu rasa mual, kali ni sume benda dapat. 

Bak kata hubby "berpakej kali ni pregnancy. Loya, mual, pening, sakit pinggang, sakit kaki, sakit belakang sume ada" Sometimes dia jadi mangsa jadi tukang urut. hehehe

One thing I alah gila, DURIAN!!! Padahal I la hantu durian and I can eat sampai oraang dah berhenti I bole makan lagi. Kali ni bau durian makes me sick! kalau gi Carrefour tu mesti takmo lalu depan durian. macam busuk giler ok! There's one night hubby meet his cousin outside and he back home with the smell I'm so familiar yet I hate it, Durian!! Then I asked,

"Tadi u ada makan durian ke?" 

"Haah. mana u tau?" he surprised.

"I can smell it miles away!"

No, he didn't get goodnight kiss that night.

Dah sedia nak jadi ibu dan bapa?

Took this from Hana Fedora blog since she said it going viral through out U.K. So, sesiapa yang bakal menjadi ibu / ayah, mayb this a lil fun facts that you may refer on what will be happened when you become a parents.

This just like a fun test :) and let see if this is true from what I'd experienced so far......perjalanan sebagai ibu masih panjang lagi......Amin. InsyaAllah.



Test 1: Preparation

Women: To prepare for pregnancy
1. Put on a dressing gown and stick a beanbag down the front.
2. Leave it there.
3. After 9 months remove 5% of the beans.

Comments : This is so true since I'm not fully breastfeeding. Gained 18kgs, managed to shed 10 kgs only! Gyne said the normal pregnant people gain 10kg for the whole preggy months. Pssstt Doc, 10 kgs is impossible if you're living in Malaysia! Don't ask how much hubby gained even though he's not pregnant :P

Men: To prepare for children
1. Go to a local chemist, tip the contents of your wallet onto the counter and tell the pharmacist to help himself
2. Go to the supermarket. Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head office.
3. Go home. Pick up the newspaper and read it for the last time.

Comments : Kalau dulu takat beli ayam, daging and households. Now kalau pergi kedai mesti beli baby biscuits la, diapers, wet tissue etc. Not included kalau drink FM kena beli bertin-tin :D yes, belanja meningkat at least 20% from normal.

Test 2: Knowledge 

Find a couple who are already parents and berate them about their methods of discipline, lack of patience, appallingly low tolerance levels and how they have allowed their children to run wild. Suggest ways in which they might improve their child's sleeping habits, toilet training, table manners and overall behaviour.

Enjoy it. It will be the last time in your life that you will have all the answers.  

Comments : We heard stories from our parents on raising us. Now we enjoy experiencing it! haha

Test 3: Nights 

To discover how the nights will feel
1. Walk around the living room from 5pm to 10pm carrying a wet bag weighing approximately 4 - 6kg, with a radio turned to static (or some other obnoxious sound) playing loudly.
2. At 10pm, put the bag down, set the alarm for midnight and go to sleep.
3. Get up at 11pm and walk the bag around the living room until 1am.
4. Set the alarm for 3am.
5. As you can't get back to sleep, get up at 2am and make a cup of tea.
6. Go to bed at 2.45am.
7. Get up again at 3am when the alarm goes off.
8. Sing songs in the dark until 4am.
9. Put the alarm on for 5am. Get up when it goes off.
10. Make breakfast.

Keep this up for 5 years. LOOK CHEERFUL.

Comments : I'm facing this for nearly 2 years now! Especially kalau siang dia dok main tak hengat dunia, malam melalak kepenatan. Now ibu need to massage Faatih nye kaki every nitght tau. Habis aku siapa nak urut???? And I think it will keep until u have 2,3,4...errr children? What 10-20 years?

Test 4: Dressing Small Children 

1. Buy a live octopus and a string bag.
2. Attempt to put the octopus into the string bag so that no arms hangout.  

Comments : Nak pakai diapers pon susah, apa lagi pakai baju? Susu and youtube are the easiest solution!

Time Allowed: 5 minutes.

Test 5: Cars 

1. Forget the BMW. Buy a practical 5-door wagon.
2. Buy a chocolate ice cream cone and put it in the glove compartment. Leave it there.
3. Get a coin. Insert it into the CD player.
4. Take a box of chocolate biscuits; mash them into the back seat.
5. Run a garden rake along both sides of the car.

Comments : Yes, we aim for 5 doors SUV! ahhaha When travel, beg ayah + ibu, beg Faatih, bakul susu with air panas, air sejuk, botol, makanan, biskot for snack, diapers blom masuk kasut sepasang, selipar sepasang......blom masuk books and favourite tyos and the list goes on. True me, all this will avoid troble during travelling.

Test 6: Going For a Walk 

1. Wait.
2. Go out the front door.
3. Come back in again.
4. Go out.
5. Come back in again.
6. Go out again.
7. Walk down the front path.
8. Walk back up it.
9. Walk down it again.
10. Walk very slowly down the road for five minutes.
11. Stop, inspect minutely and ask at least 6 questions about every piece of used chewing gum, dirty tissue and dead insect along the way.
12. Retrace your steps.
13. Scream that you have had as much as you can stand until the neighbours come out and stare at you. 14. Give up and go back into the house.

You are now just about ready to try taking a small child for a walk.

Comments : Pakaikan Faatih kasut, put up his stroller dalam kereta, hidupkan enjin, while kunci pintu rumah Faatih dah lari sampai pagar, try panggil "Faatih.....come, naik kereta" tak datang gak then have to chase him and put him into car, bukak tingkap sket sebab dia dah pandai kunci pintu kereta, then bukak pagar rumah, masuk kereta and ready to reverse. Baru tutup pagar rumah! don't forget put your child into carseat, otherwise, you masuk, dia lari ke belakang kereta. This apply when you're alone with your child!

Test 7: Conversations with children  

Repeat everything you say at least 5 times.

Comments : "Faatih.....jom tengok Pororo" (lari gi dapur suh bukak peti ais), Faatih.....come tengok Pororo (he screams "alolololo" (Pororo faatih version)) still kat dapur waiting for me to bukak peti ais. Faatih...come la.....Faaaatihhhh (time rasa nak jadi raksaksa gorgon dah)

Test 8: Grocery Shopping 

1. Go to the local supermarket. Take with you the nearest thing you can find to a pre-school child - a fully grown goat is excellent. If you intend to have more than one child, take more than one goat.
2. Buy your weekly groceries without letting the goat(s) out of your sight.
3. Pay for everything the goat eats or destroys.

Until you can easily accomplish this, do not even contemplate having children.

Comments : So far, Faatih belum jadi destroyer, tapi dia ada satu tabiat kalau naik stroller mesti julurkan kaki. End up, barang kat rak sume jatuh kena kaki dia...then aku la yang tukang letak balik kann....

Test 9: Feeding a 1 year-old 

1. Hollow out a melon
2. Make a small hole in the side
3. Suspend the melon from the ceiling and swing it side to side
4. Now get a bowl of soggy cornflakes and attempt to spoon them into the swaying melon while pretending to be an aeroplane.
5. Continue until half the cornflakes are gone.
6. Tip the rest into your lap, making sure that a lot of it falls on the floor.

Comments : Sekarang dah pandai nak makan sendiri. Kalau kita suapakn dia akan jer tak nak makan.....sila la alas bawah kerusi baby dengan tikar getah. Best way dari kena sapu / vacuum benda2 yang tumpah tu...hehehe

Test 10: TV 

1. Learn the names of every character from the Wiggles, Barney, Teletubbies and Disney.
2. Watch nothing else on television for at least 5 years.

Comments : Upin, Ipin, Jarjit, Fizi, Ehsan, Mei Mei, Mael, Kak Ros, Boboiboy, Gopal, Yaya, Adudu, Ocobot, Probe, Pororo, Tayo, Pocoyo, Zou, Agent Oso.....am I doing good so far??

Test 11: Mess Can you stand the mess children make? 

To find out:

1. Smear peanut butter onto the sofa and jam onto the curtains
2. Hide a fish behind the stereo and leave it there all summer.
3. Stick your fingers in the flowerbeds and then rub them on clean walls. Cover the stains with crayon. How does that look?
4. Empty every drawer/cupboard/storage box in your house onto the floor and proceed with step 5.
5. Drag randomly items from one room to another room & leave them there.

Comments : Oat stains can be anywhere in our house. carpet, tv, sofa, bedsheet pon ada and do not surprise if you found some banana in your wardrobe or slice of bread under the pillow :P 

Test 12: Long Trips with Toddlers 

1. Make a recording of someone shouting 'Mummy' repeatedly. Important Notes: No more than a 4 second delay between each 'Mummy'. Include occasional crescendo to the level of a supersonic jet.
2. Play this tape in your car, everywhere you go for the next 4 years. You are now ready to take a long trip with a toddler.

Comments : Smartphone / tablet are the best solution so far! And not to forget, enough milk and food supply for him!

Test 13: Conversations

1. Start talking to an adult of your choice.
2. Have someone else continually tug on your shirt hem or shirt sleeve while playing the Mummy tape listed above.

You are now ready to have a conversation with an adult while there is a child in the room.

Comments : Jangan pelik bila anda call saya ada "background" seperti budak nangis dan jeritan "Boboiboy" atau Alolololo (Pororo) hahahah 
Test 14: Getting ready for work 

1. Pick a day on which you have an important meeting.
2. Put on your finest work attire.
3. Take a cup of cream and put 1 cup of lemon juice in it
4. Stir
5. Dump half of it on your nice silk shirt
6. Saturate a towel with the other half of the mixture
7. Attempt to clean your shirt with the same saturated towel
8. Do not change (you have no time).
9. Go directly to work You are now ready to have children. ENJOY!!

Comments : Dah siap-siap nak keluar (bayangkan dah kunci rumah and masuk dalam kereta) tetiba bau tidak menyenangkan.......yaaa....anakku popo.....just great. Bukak rumah balik dengan harapan nak basuh popo end up anak uols dah pandai main getah air and pancut air tu kat uols. Lencun jadinya...pastu rasa mcm fed up nak keluar rumah sebab baju, make up sume maca baru pas kena hujan.......




Anyway, from my experience, I tak plan-plan nak beranak as me and hubby go with the flow masa pas kawin dulu. We got Faatih 10 months after we married and we learn through hard way. Belum sempat nak honeymoon bagai dah ada "orang ketiga" Kata orang kalau benda tu tak berlaku maka kita tak belajar......and I'm proud I besarkan Faatih with my own hands :) so yang baru pregnant or baru kawin, just look at others and you may plan. In fact, your life will be much different...totally!!!

Adik Faatih? Lekkk luuuuuu.........................

H&M KL - MYR 100 challenge - Kids Invasion!

Everyone knows that H&M KL already their store month ago. Well, a week later (story dah basi) I tend to visit it alone. No Faatih at all...ahhahah Bukit Bintang street is no-no for Faatih for the time being except Pavilion sebab macam leceh kalau bawak stroller. As a careful mom, I need to do a quick survey at H&M before I bring him to the store *cough cough*.

It's a big 3 levels OMG store! A lift? Checked! Spacey enough for a stroller? Check! But the crowd? Weekedays pon macam susah jer nak shopping since long queue in each level fitting room. So, of I bring him, make sure I drag hubby as caretaker, as usual (that's why you'll always seeing mummy shopping, daddy goes to daycare!)

Semua orang cakap H&M ni murah. Dah selama ni browse website pon in UK pound nampak murah giler tapi I selalu ingat kalau sampai Malaysia bila masuk taxes sume mesti dah mahal.

So, I challenged myself by budgeting only MYR 100 in kids department. Let see what can I get with it.

Kalau beli brand cam Trudy Teddy, Miki, Padini selalu bole dapat 2 barang jer. Tu pon tunggu sale. This challenge without sale season la kiranya....

Batman T-shirt : MYR 27.90

Quality wise : Made from soft cotton material

Blue Pants : MYR 39.90

Quality wise : not bad at all. soft canvas look a like. Even this pants 18-24 months tapi rasanya Faatih bole pakai sampai 2 / 2 1/2 years kot.

Brown sneakers : MYR 39.90

Quality wise : For sneakers not more than MYR 40, quality dia agak terbaik la sebab made from PVC yg nampak cam leather. Kasut buat ganti-ganti bole la kan...sebab kaki diaorg ni cepat sangat membesar. Beli Clarks pon bole pakai 6 bulan jer :(

Rasanya MYR 100 challenge I berjaya mendapatkan 3 barang lengkap dari baju, seluar and kasut! Hooyeeeahh berjaya la I sebagai ibu dengan perbelanjaan yang sangat berhemah.......*blow nails*

Eerrr...think I lost count jer, cccopp....(MYR 39.90 x 2) + MYR 27.90 = MYR 107.70......hahah terlebih 7.70 sen la plak......dig out my own purse sebab ayah dia bagi budget MYR 100 jer :)

Faatih at 20 months

Sometimes, rasa macam tak percaya yang Faatih is reaching 2 years old in 4 months.
I always treats him as a baby. Tapi kadang-kadang biar jer dia explore anything he likes sampai benjol sana sini.....

For 20 months kid, Faatih....

• fully utilized his motor skills. Panjat sana, panjat sini. Grill pintu pon panjat apetah lg dah pandai tarik kerusi meja makan and panjat. Jatuh tu tak tau berapa kali but he usually act like he's a strong boy. Mungkin badan dia ada "adamantium" (think Wolverine) that hubby always said or mayb I should ikat our kerusi with tali like what Shila Shower did.

• Suka tengok Pocoyo. Tapi paling favorite, Upin & Ipin ngan Boboiboy. Aiyyooo....iklan pon nangis ok! pening dah I ni nak kena contant bagi tengok Boboiboy...pnah skali dia nangis kol 2.45AM...bukan PM yer...pastu bagi susu tak jalan. Last-last bukak Boboiboy terus senyap....aarrrghhh rasa nak buang jer hp tu. He stay up till 4.30am ok! mak ayah dia? Krroohhhh...krohhh...tak larat nak bukak mata.

• Dah bole count 1 to 10 tapi selang-seli...bila kita sebut one...dia ckp two, bila kita sebut three...dia cakap four....bila suh count balik tros cam malu-malu....tapi kalau stranger tanya, senyap jer. ABC plak kita kne baca baru dia ikut....Alif Ba Ta bole sampai Sin...

• Bole kick ball and kalau nampak bola dalam Boboiboy tu, terus la amik bola dia.

• Pantang nampak tangga, mesti nak panjat. Balik umah MIL sure nak panjat tangga...pastu nal turun macam org tua

• Suka sangat kat penyapu. Kalau nampak kita sapu sampah dia cepat-cepat amik dustpan untuk kita. Rajin anak ibu :)

• Dah pandai role playing. For time being, dia main ultraman dulu. Nanti dah besar baru ibu beli Ironman k.....

• Dah pandai tutup and kunci pintu ok!! Tak kira pintu rumah, bilik or pintu kete...semlm I left him dalam bilik pastu dia tutup pintu and kunci. best part umah ni tak da kunci pintu...aiiyoooo...sib baik ayah McGyver kan...bole bukak. lesson learned, never leave him alone!

• Can recognize most animals like tiger, bird, cat, cow, duck, dog, monkey, elephant, sheep, goat and..."pish" = fish.

• Fav word : "ananana" = banana tp kdg "isang" = pisang, "apu" = lampu jalan, car, Boboiboyyyyy, "pin pin" = upin ipin, "tol..tol..tol" betul betul betul, alamak, "aaatukkkk" = atuk boboiboy. "aaa..aaa..aaayaahh" = ayah, "abu" = ibu, nakkkk (pjg bunyi dia), "fufu" or "afu" = susu, "dap dap dap" or "uuurrmmm" = sedap 

• Dia tau our usual Arab food spot kat precint Diplomatik. One day kitaorang lalu kedai tu tapi tak stop pastu dia tunjuk.."tuuu..tuuu" sempat toleh belakang...hehhehe

• He likes to playing with his "tut" kalau tgh salin diapers. Mmg I wonder sangat naper la suke pegang la. (beside he's a boy) tapi bila refer kat babycenter.com, it is normal. Fuhh!!!!

Ini adalah selepas mengamok selama 2 minit yer.....nangis sebab ngantuk sangat since I dah tak ajar naik buai. I memang biar jer, last-last tengok dah tertidor sendiri....hehehhehe

Hasil Menjadi Cikgu Tadika

Inilah anak bujang aaaiiiii *promote ala-ala mami jarum cari menantu gitewww*



















Hasil menjadi cikgu tadika selama sebulan kat rumah ok.

I'm happy to see his development. Rasa macam puas dapat ajar dia sendiri.
tapi kalau ibu dapat offer better job, memang jer pi hanta taska balik semula kan.

But I'm planning to send him to playschool bila umur 2 tahun. Bukan tak mau ajar sendiri tapi trust kat playschool dia bole socialize sket and cikgu-cikgu nyer pon terlatih dari segi mental and fizikal.

Ibu dia ni kadang-kadang takle nak bersabar pon ye kan......kadang-kdang geram rasa nak cubit-cubit jer tapi seriously memang tak sampai hati tau.

Cuma, I also learned bila jadi housewife tahap kesabaran tu kena lagi tinggi sebab 24 jam anak ni ada dengan kita. So, kalau "ahkak" yang muda remaja ni, kadang bole lost temper. mana tak, kita kemas, dia punggah, kita kemas dia punggah. Last-last biar je rumah bersepah macam kapal karam.

One thing I noticed Faatih tak suke tengok tv. Taktau nape. Ko bukak la Disney Jr ke, segala kartu takmo pon dia tengok. Sebab macam rancangan kat Disney Junior tu bagus jer kan macam Word World. Youtube jugak pilihan dia. Bila tengok youtube kena la bukak video ABC, 123. Dulu suka tengok Minions (Despicable Me) now dah beralih Upin Ipin plak. Berkerut-kerut dahi tengok Upin Ipin.

Nak tengok bahan pembelajaran sampai dia boleh mocking binatang tu camner? naaahh...lihatlah!

Sampai lunyai-lunyai and bercerai-berai buku tu dibuatnya. last-last mak dia pon jadi mak gajah!

Behind the Scene of Being a SAHM

It's been almost a month since I left all the hectic 2 monitors at office
I got lots of respond from my friends especially from FB
"Bestnya jadi SAHM"
"Mesti syok tak payah tension kena marah dengan boss"
"Faatih mesti seronok mak dia ada"

Yes, people could expressed anything coz it look nicely on the outside
But you'll never know until you experienced it.

I tak maksud yang jadi SAHM ni menyusahkan coz, there're bunch of reasons why women out there kebanyakannya bersara awal untul jadi SAHM.

Baru-baru ni Parlimen Malaysia keluarkan statistics almost 70% wanita berumur 35-40 tahun bersara awal untuk memberi tumpuan kepada keluarga tetapi main reason adalah kerana kerisauan terhadap taska-taska yang akhlak pengasuhnya semakin kurang. Sekarang banyak sangat kes dera kat taska, bagi makan yang bukan-bukan siap ber"youtube" bagai.

For me, I've reason why I resigned from current company. Let me just put that I back at home at 7pm-8pm and hubby not favour it at all. Despite the hectic at work which my office was 50km away from our house.
Yes, we live in Putrajaya and my office in Bangsar. Note that I'm not looking for another job opportunities near to our house but that's rezeki Allah gave to us.

For someone who worked almost 4 years, it's not an easy decision to just simply resigned without purpose. I do remembered when I handled the resignation letter to the boss and the reason I put was to concentrate on my family. My boss asked me,

"Waaa.....you sangat sayang you punya anak ye.."

I was like to answer...."What kind of question is that?" instead, I just answered,

"Of course sayang...." mana ada orang yang tak sayang anak? org yg dera kat youtube tu pon aku rasa sayang je anak dia cuma tekanan bila menjaga anak ni memerlukan kesabaran yang utuh.

That's why I cakap, nampak macam senang je jadi SAHM ni, dok umah, masak, kemas umah, jaga anak.

Butttttt.......being SAHM is more challenging than working in office!!

If kat office, you just facing your boss yang membebel buat kerja here and there. Depression on mental and physical tu habis kat office je. Tapi kalau kat rumah, penat dia lain macam especially when you have infant that in developing the get-to-know skills. Semau benda habis dia punggah.

You can imagine when you already prepare for cooking, he's the one who will take out all the utensils, pan etc. talking bout a little "chef" here. Blom lagi dia nampak you'ols siang ikan potong bawang pastu mengamuk nak pisau tu kan.....tak bagi menangis selagi bole. At the end I akan bagi je sudu, mangkuk and letak tepung supaya dia bole main.

Then it's time for you to tidy all the messiness, bila korang habis masak and complete kems semua yang bersepah, time tu la dia akan take out je balik mana you yang dah simpan tadi. ufffff........I rasa macam sume benda pon dan letak atas almari yg tinggi 2 metres atas supaya dia tak le capai. tapi nak buat camner, mak dia pon kemetot je.

Tu belom you gave him banana or roti or biskut and he'll be running around house. Sedar-sedar makanan tu ntah ke mana. Tak tau macam mana dia capai.

The only time you took your bath is when the time he is sleeping. I noticed that when I started staying at home, mana I pergi, Faatih dia akan ikut je and he will cry if he doesn't see me. In fact kalau ayah dia ada pon bila I mandi dia akan ketuk pintu bilik air tu sambil nangis and stay depan pintu sampai I keluar. Pendek kata..time tu mandi koboi je la. So bila dia tido la I took my personal time, mandi and tulis draft blog. Usually he'll sleep at 10.30 after took his breakfast and sleep till 12noon.

Once he wake up and nampak I kat laptop, dia mula la sibuk nak tengok laptop and youtube. That's why bila dia jaga je, I terus tutup laptop. Amik buku, read and play with him. Handphone, net letak tepi coz being kids who surrounded by IT and gadget around made him curious on everything. Trully, we do not own Ipad! Bukan tak nak beli, tapi it's not the time for Faatih to know Ipad. I prefer him to get socialized rather that sitting with Ipad especially when we have out dinner outside. Kebanyakan I tengok parents sekarang bila kat kedai makan, masing-masing anak bergayut ngn Ipad. No communication at all! But I ada jugak ajar dia using Iphone showing some youtube video with those ABC and kids song.

One thing I know, some youtube video buat budak terikut-ikut. I bagi dia tengok video minion yang rebut banana tu...and now he bables like minions pastu dok sebut apple jadi "bapple"

I've seen once, a family outing kat Tutti Frutti. Ayah baca paper, mak main handphone, anak lelaki main PSP, anak perempuan main Ipad. How do you guys reckon that?

That's why bila you jadi SAHM, tanggungjawab you sangat besar sebab apa yang anak you buat adalah atas ajaran you sepenuhnya and you should take that as your fault if bad thing happen. Sebab he's 100% most of time with you.

Jadi, bukanlah SAHM tu satu tugas yang mudah ye. I just spread the truth since people said "it's so easy being SAHM". Senang cakap, kira macam win-win situation between jadi working mom and SAHM. masing-masing ada pros and cons.

Cuma kelebihan you jadi SAHM you get to know the kid more. You macam dikira "bekerja dan belajar" jugak tau since you'll learn his attitude, knowledge, development. I'm still new compared to those yang dah ada 4 anak and I lagi respect yang beranak rapat-rapat macam anak 1st baru 1 setahun dah keluar lagi sorang. i even can't imagine I got "two Faatihs" right now. Pengsan I tell you!

Akhir kata, the decision is on yours whether you choose to work or being SAHM. Make sure you get your husband permission before you stop working coz I met some husband who dare to let her wife working rather staying at home. And if your husband asked you to stop working or resigned, you have no rights to obey him even though you may see it's not enough in this kind of world to survive since he's the one who the money maker coz you may not know what your husband been into.

Panduan Untuk Bakal Ibu Bapa! $$$

First thing first, I nak congratulate my only one younger sis Najihah Abas for her pregnancy!!!
That means Faatih ada cousin untuk dibuli....walaupon sebaya :P


Since this is her 1st pregnancy, why don't I guide her in preparing her arrival. Tak tau lagi la baby boy ke girl kan. And kepada bakal ibu bapa yang lain bole jadikan entry ni sebagai panduan untuk menyambut si kecil :)


Kebanyakan kita confuse dan tertanya-tanya, apa la barang yang perlu dibeli untuk baby...baju berapa pasanga, mitten and booties nak berapa helai, blom masuk stroller, katil, baby bath accessories, breastfeeding items lagi...


uuuffff.......pening kan???? Ni la yang I alami dulu. Mungkin ada yang cakap..."ala..beli ala kadar jer. Mak ayah kita takda pon list yang panjang macam ni...ok jer." Tapi zaman sekarang dah lain ok!


Meh kita "terjah dan bongkar" barang apa yang diperlukan untuk baby.

Maternity

Bila dah mengandung, bentuk badan pon berubah. Mana yang dulu pinggang anak dara,nah....dari 26" melebar ko sampai 29"-30". Issk......jadi haruslah beli baju or seluar barukan. During my pregnancy, I tak beli baju maternity. I just bought loose sleeveless and pakai ngan cardigan. Senang. Bottom pon pakai legging. If you mom-to-be opt for pants, I suggest Topshop or lagi murah brand Scarlet at JJ.

The most important is the bra. Yes, please say bye bye to your old size of La Senza coz its gonna be bigger than you thought! Of cos, your boobs contain milk lah! I tak beli maternity bra during pregnant but I bought nursing bra je. The best and affordable nursing bra can be found at Fabulous Mom. Murah dan cantik! Material pon not bad. It'll only cost you from RM39.90!

Nursery

Most excited parents akan beli baby cot for their 1st child. *2nd child pakai abang/kakak dia punya jer LOL* I rasa cheapest baby cot bole dapat kat Ikea. And I think Ikea has the best yet economical baby furniture. Yang terlebih mampu bole la beli set bagai.....tapi bagi I basic baby furniture, baby cot and wardrobe jer.

Snuggle wrap from Pumpkin Patch

Adalah penting untuk "membedung" baby yang baru lahir. Kalau di awal kelahiran bole la bedung guna kain napkin jer tapi bila dah 2-3 bulan, kain bedung pon dah tak muat. For solution, sekarang dah banyak snuggle wrap or swaddle wrap jual kat pasaran. Dulu, Pumpkin Patch jer yang jual tapi sekarang I tengok local store dah banyak. Harga dalam RM 39.90 tak silap.

Untuk 6 months ke atas, bola pakai sleeping bag. Sleeping ni mengelakkan terjadinya SIDS (Sudden Death Infant Syndrome) sebab kalau kita pakai selimut biasa tu, baby ni kuar "jerking" time tido. So selimut tu kadang-kadang leh tertutup muka dia.

Playtime

Untuk playtime, I rasa semua dalam list tu perlu. Unless kalau tak nak bouncer tu tak payah pon takpe. Alhamdulillah Faatih dapat bouncer free orang bagi. Yang I memang dah aim plak tuh. Tips??? sila la buat baby shower! Time tu korang bole la request kat member-member list barang yang korang perlukan.

Feeding

Avent Starter Set

List feeding ni la yang mengundang dilema especially those sterilising and warmer equipment. I memula dulu pikir, perlu ker benda alah ni. Ye la...mak kita dulu-dulu kalau nak sterilise rendam sajer ngan air panas. Nak warm EBM (Express Breast Milk) pon pakai air panas. Tapi haritu I dah terbeli Avent Set siap ngan steriliser and warmer skali. Senang ok! Untuk ibu-ibu yang bekerja, then balik umah nak kena masak lagi, basuh baju, kemas umah, layan suami..opsss.....letak jer EBM dalam bottle warmer, tak sampai 2 minit, susu dah bole diminum. same goes with steriliser, letak dalam steriliser, tunggu 11 minit, siap dah!

For bottle, please choose the one with BPA FREE. Walaupon tak da study yang specific mengatakan effect  BPA (Bisphenol A - bahan pembuat plastik) kepada bayi tapi sesetengah negara dah mengharamkan bahan ini dalm botol baby.

Breastpump! Yes, this is the most important "gadget" that mommy should have. Ye la...kita kalau bole, nak bagi anak menyusu badan macam sunnah nabi, sampai umur 2 tahun. Tapi kalau susu dah takda nak buat camner. I rasa pemilihan breastpump penting untuk mendapatakan stock susu yang cukup. I beli Medela Swing (single pumping) tapi penat la...sebab dapat pump once at a time. Pastu Swing ni "bising" and annoying gak bunyi dia. Patut I beli Freestyle jer tapi mahal la sangat. Sampai RM1600!! Kalau nak yang harga sederhana, haritu I tengok best brand untuk breastpump ialah Ameda and Spectra. Harus lepas ni buat tabung breastpump plak. :P

Baby Clothes

Haaa.....bab ni la yang bakal parents excited especially bila anak 1st. *termasuk la I* Lagi-lagi zaman sekarang baju baby macam-macam fesyen. Best tips ialah beli romper set. Masa kat Oz, I dah terbeli Mothercare punya. Harga dalam RM 100 = 7 pcs = RM 15/pc. Tapi bila balik Malaysia I tengok banyak online blogshop jual Carter Romper RM 45 = 5 pcs = RM 9/pc. Murah bukan? 

Tapi tu la..memang tak perlu berlebih-lebih beli baju baby on the 1st 3 months sebab baby ni memang cepat membesar *speaking of my own boy* unless kalau baby tu lahir bawah 3 kg so lama la sket pakai.

Here my suggestion list :

3 pcs sleeveless romper (0-3 months)

2 pcs baju lubang-lubang (you know which one)

5 pcs sleepsuit

3 pair socks

5 pairs mittens and booties

So terpulang la nak ikut ke tak. Ini suggestion jer. I pon rasa macam membazir sebab bila balik sini, ramai plak yang pemurah bagi baju time melawat I aritu. yes, Malaysian sangat pemurah and baik hati....sure u guys akan dapat banyak barang baby bila bersalin.

Untuk baby bathtime tu I rasa all the items perlu tapi bath termometer to optional. Nak mandi air panas bole rasa ngan jari sajer. :)

Travel

Stroller or pram menjadi "hot" topic jugak bila nak dapat baby. Ada pasangan bole sampai bergaduh nak belikan anak stroller tak lupa yang confuse. Every parents of course nak yang the best untuk anak diaorg tapi haruslah memadai dengan budget yang sedia ada. bagi I, stroller ni biarlah "alah membeli, menang memakai". Biar mahal sket tapi tahan lama. If jemu pakai pon, sekarang bole jual 2nd hand and still ada value :) betul tak?

There're lots of stroller in market right now. Range stroller as low as RM 90 - RM4000. As I said, depends on your budget. Antara brand bawah RM 1000 : MacLaren, Peg Prego, Mothercare or Sweet Cherry. RM 1000-RM2000 : Quinny, Maxi Cosi, Baby Jogger. RM 2000 and above : Quinny Buzz, Stokke, Bugaboo, Phil and Teds.

On car seat........hurrmm is it important? Kalau kat Oz dah kena perintah berwajib ok! Nampak jer baby naik kete takda carseat, sure kena saman. Kat Malaysia nasib baik belum diperketatkan lagi. Jadi terpulang pada ibu bapa nak beli ke tak nak on car seat. I sendiri pon belum beli tapi akan beli la kot sebab dah tak larat nak pegang Faatih bila travel. dia makin berat...huhuhuh

I hope entry ni bola la dijadikan panduan pada bakal ibu bapa...takda la pening kepala or confuse kan bila nak menyambut kelahiran orang baru.

Aqiqah atau Cukur Jambul...ada jambul ke?

Masa genap Faatih sebulan haritu, kami sempat buat aqiqah kat kampung I kat Johor. Kebetulan time tu nenek I memang giliran dia buat kenduri yasin kat kampung so tumpang jer la. Kira buat side I dulu then nanti buat kat KL plak. Aqiqah untuk seorang anak lelaki ialah 2 ekor kambing yang cukup sifatnya. Pendek kata kambing tu jangan cacat hokeh. I tengok rancangan Chef Wan haritu, ada topik pasal aqiqah, ustaz tu cakap, kambing yang nak buat aqiqah ni mesti cukup sifat. Kira gigi pon kena perfect, tak le hilang satu ke ape.....

Sedikit info mengenai aqiqah,

"Hukum membuat 'kenduri' bagi anak yang baru lahir hukumnya harus dan hukum ibadah aqiqah itu adalah Sunat Muakkad, caranya ialah :

Membuat Aqiqah dengan menyembelih seekor kambing bagi kanak-kanak lelaki dan perempuan. Jika mampu yang afdalnya bagi kanak-kanak lelaki dua ekor kambing dan sebaiknya disedekahkan daging kambing itu kepada fakir miskin dan lain-lain sesudah dimasak.

Diriwayatkan daripada Aisyah, bahawa Rasulullah s.a.w. memerintahkan para sahabat agar menyembelih aqiqah untuk anak lelaki dua ekor kambing yang umurnya sama dan untuk anak perempuan seekor kambing. (Riwayat al-Turmuzi).

Daripada Ibnu Abbas r.a. pula menyatakan: Bahawa Rasullullah s.a.w. menyembelih aqiqah untuk Hasan dan Husin masing-masing dengan seekor kambing. (Riwayat Abu Dawud)"

Ada orang tanya, "Kenapa tak buat cukup jambul?" or berbuai dan sebagainya. Ala....zaman sekarang yang orang letak dalam buai tu.....for me, buai is ok cuma kalau bole I nak simple and sederhana jer. Nak berbuai bagai, takda sapa nak buat kat kampung ni u'ols. Blom sampai lagi teknologi buat bentuk kerang ke, bentuk katil ke...kalau bentuk kereta F1 ada tak??? Anak I ni lelaki, takkan nak letak dalam bentuk cengkerang mutiara plak kan. Yer la....kalau kat KL tu siap la ngan dekorasi segala kan. Khurrlassss anak kau Maria!

Kalau zaman kita kecik-kecik dulu, back in 80's orang siap cukup jambul then letak rambut tu dalam air sejuk pastu tanam balik kelapa tu kat tepi rumah.  Tu mungkin pemikiran jahiliah zaman dulu. Lagipon amalan tu dikatakan amalan masyarakat Hindu bukan kita orang Islam. 

"Sebahagian masyarakat Islam hari ini tidak mencukur rambut anak-anak hingga botak sebaliknya mengadakan upacara cukur jambul sebagai adat dan tradisi yang telah dilakukan sejak turun temurun. Tambah mengelirukan, rambut yang digunting itu dimasukkan ke dalam buah kelapa.

Memandangkan terdapat beberapa perkara yang jelas bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam, maka ulama berpendapat, mengamalkan adat cukur jambul adalah bidaah dan khurafat. Paling menyedihkan apabila terdapat segelintir umat Islam yang cuba menghidupkan kembali kepercayaan seperti ini.

Mengikut sesetengah pendapat, amalan cukur jambul adalah tradisi dan kepercayaan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat India seperti menggunakan buah kelapa.

Selain amalan-amalan di atas yang bertentangan dengan syariat agama, kesilapan yang turut dilakukan ibu bapa hari ini ialah akikah atau cukur rambut dilakukan setelah bayi berusia beberapa bulan. Majlis tersebut turut disertai dengan adat berendoi di mana buaian dihias dengan bunga-bungaan dan perhiasan lain."

This was first time Faatih travel jauh dari KL ke Johor. Kira latihan ketahan body dan mental la untuk dia kan. sok lusa kalau nak jalan gi mana-mana senang jer. Sib baik dia tak meragam sangat time dalam kereta. Ada pon cuma dia poo poo jer la so I tukar kat RnR.
